An Email Alias is the name given to an email address when you redirect that email address to another email address on the same domain. For example if your main mailbox is sales@domain.com and you are redirecting info@domain.com to sales@domain.com, then info@domain.com is an alias.

A Domain Alias is the name given to an email address when you redirect an email address from one domain to the same user at another domain. For example if your main mailbox is sales@domain.com and you are redirecting sales@another-domain.com to sales@domain.com, then sales@another-domain.com is a Domain alias. Note that it must be the same user (i.e. sales). If for example anothersales@another-domain.com is redirected to sales@domain.com, anothersales@another-domain.com does not constitute a domain alias.
